At Atelier Zélie, sustainability is not a statement, but a natural part of the way I create. Every handbag is made slowly, by hand, from start to finish in my atelier in the Netherlands. I work on only a few pieces at a time, allowing space for precision, refinement, and a meaningful connection to every material I touch. This way of working ensures that as little as possible is wasted and every detail is considered.

I source my leather locally, selecting hides from trusted European tanneries that share my commitment to quality and responsible production. Leather and gemstones are chosen carefully to match or complement each other, while aiming to maintain the best possible quality. The hardware that I make from solid gold and silver, is made to last for generations. My intention is to create handbags that can be cherished, repaired, and passed down.
